Giveaway | April’s Facebook Fan (& blog!) contemporary jewelry giveaway

For our March giveaway, we decided to give away jewelry of the winner’s choice — to enter, you simply had to comment and tell us which Blend Creations contemporary jewelry piece you’d like: a modern necklace? a pair of earrings? or a necklace pendant perhaps?

Well, we used the Random Number generator, and picked…

Picture 1

Number 16!  Which corresponded to comment number 16 by Jennifer P., who commented that she would like a Jade Flower Torus necklace.

Congratulations to Jennifer for winning our March giveaway!

This month, we’ve decided to give away our best jewelry gift idea for mothers, our family jewelry piece, the Connection necklace!

To enter, comment below and tell us:

1) Who would be the recipient for this modern necklace? (It can be yourself!)

2) What makes this the ideal piece of contemporary jewelry for that person?

3) How many rings and which birthstone colors or months would the necklace have?

You may comment once per recipient (i.e. you can enter one comment per person that you think should receive the necklace — once for yourself, once for you sister, once for your best friend, etc.).  We will draw randomly from all the comments received on Monday May 3rd at noon EDT, but if the comment doesn’t have all the above answered, we will re-draw.  Good luck!

I am a big Blend Creations fan and like the simple, elegant use of metal and color. The addition of something personally meaningful–the birthstones of my children and husband–makes it all the more desirable.

I would love three rings for my boys and husband, whose birthdays are September, April and June.

This piece would be the ideal piece of jewelry for me because I have loved jewelry since I was 4 (I am now 40) and I love jewelry that celebrates motherhood and families. This is a piece I would be really happy to pass down to them.

    2) What makes this the ideal piece of contemporary jewelry for that person?

    Thanks!

  74. Danielle B. says:

    1) I want it for me! It’s so beautiful!
    2) I am a Designer, this necklace perfectly reflects my simplistic style & I love circular design elements!
    3) I would just need one disc, March, for myself. I don’t currently have children so I think it would be a great momento to begin it with just my own birthstone and be able to add one as my family grows :)

  75. Karen E says:

The recipient would be me, cause I’m the Mom! It would be perfect as the last ‘family thing’ I got was a ring after the birth of my first daughter, from my husband, who didn’t know another stone couldn’t be added when we had our second daughter! This way, we could have the whole family included! There would be 4 stones, Feb for my husband, April for me, and two Oct stones for my 2 daughters!

  76. Kara H says:

I would definitely give one to my mom!

    1. Recipient: my mom!
    2. I think she would really love the modern elegance of the necklace, and that it reminds her of her 4 loving kids!
    3. She’d need one for each kid, so 4 discs: July, April, October, December

  77. Cleo says:

    1. I would LOVE the necklace for myself (as my children are too little to give me mother’s day gifts themselves!)

    2. It is one of the most beautiful and meaningful (in a subtle way) necklace I can remember seeing in a long while – so very much my style!

    3. I would choose to have three rings – two May stones for my children and one June stone for my husband.

They are ALL geminis – I deserve this ; )
    Love your jewelry.

  78. Stephanie W. says:

    Last one, I promise!

    1. Recipient: My stepmom
    2. Even though she is my stepmom, she loves and cares for my family as though it were her own. I’d like to say thank you.
    3. She’d need five birthstones: August, June, December, March and November.

  79. Stephanie W. says:

Ok, so now one for my Mom

    1. Recipient: My Mom
    2. She loves jewelry, but doesn’t have anything like this. Since she lives far away from us, it would be a nice way to keep us in her thoughts.
    3. She’d need five discs, one for each child and grandchild: August, June, December, March, November

  80. Stephanie W. says:

    1. Have to be selfish too! I want one of these, so the recipient would be me.
    2. I love the idea of Mother’s necklaces, but have never liked any that I’ve seen until this one. I love the simplicity and the fact that this isn’t so obvious. No one but you has to know the significance of the colors.
    3. I would need 4 birthstones for each member of the family in this order: August, March, November, August.

  81. Alicia says:

    2) What makes this the ideal piece of contemporary jewelry for that person?
As a caregiver both in my career and at home, I am learning to take care of myself! This jewelry has simplicity and statement of strength! I seek simplicity! I have to be strong for the people around me who are experiencing some of lifes difficult challenges. Plus it suits my personality and style!

    3) How many rings and which birthstone colors or months would the necklace have?

Six! I have 4 boys and a husband! January, March, July, October x 2 and December!

  82. Maranda says:

I’ve also been admiring this necklace for a while, I’d love to win one!

1] This would be great for me… my last baby just turned one, and I can finally do ‘family’ jewelery… plus it’s my birthday :)

2] I’d love to have a piece of handcrafted jewlery that is beautiful, but contemporary enough for everyday wear, and represents all my beautiful children

3] My necklace would have four birthstones, one for each of my children. July, February, March and March again. The last March was supposed to be another February, which would have made a more balanced looking necklace, but Penelope had other plans! ;)

  83. Gwen says:

I have actually been admiring this necklace for a few weeks now, what a great giveaway :) I would love to win, so here is my entry…

    1) The recipient would be myself because like I said, I have been coveting it for a while :)

    2) This is the ideal piece of jewellery for me because I would love to have something beautiful to symbolize my family.

    3) There would be 4 birthstones, one for each member of my family. January, February, October and November.

    Fingers crossed! :)

  84. Brenda (@ottawamom) says:

    2) Perfect piece of jewellery to wear the birthstones of my children
    3) I would choose three birthstones one for each of my children – February, March and October

  85. Tara says:

    1) And now I’ll enter one for me!
    2) I love these necklaces, I showed them to my husband a couple months ago, but with the expense of two kids we just haven’t been able to order one yet. Our family is complete, so I think this is just a stunning way to show the pride I have in my family.
    3) My kids were born in April and May, and then my husband and I are both June, so 4 rings.

Many thanks for the opportunity to win!

  86. Tara says:

    1) This entry is for my Sister in Law, a wonderful mother.

    2) My Sister in Law is having a very rough year with illness in her family, and has had to fill in for her husband who now needs more care than ever before. A necklace representing her family would be perfect, a reminder of why she’s working so hard on those days that are so difficult.

    3) It would be 4 rings, June, July, August and December for her two girls, herself and her husband.

  87. Tara says:

    1) This entry would be for my Mother in Law, it’s been a difficult year, and I’d like to do something really nice for her to show her how much she is appreciated.

    2) She also loves geneology, and would love to get a beautiful jewelery piece to show off her grandchildren.

    3) It would be 4 rings, April and May for my children, and July and August for my Sister in Law’s family.

  88. Tara says:

    1) This entry would be for my mom, I know she loves being a mom, but as a relatively recent grandma, I think she’s loving that even more. She likes to spoil, and so much easier to spoil grandkids than your own kids!

    2) I think she would love people to notice the necklace ask what those disks are, or what they represent. It will allow her to talk about her grandkids to strangers now!

    3) It would be 3 (so far) I love that you can add more down the line. It would be April, May and May.

    Thanks!

  89. LisaMarie Rice says:

  90. Marie-Lynne says:

    1) I would offer this beautiful necklace to my mother for Mother’s Day.

    2) This is the ideal piece of contemporary jewelry for her because she deserves something beautiful. My mother has devoted her life to taking care of, not only myself and my 2 brothers growing up, but also other children through her daycare. She sacrificed her career in the health field and opened a home daycare to be able to spend time at home with her children but also to allow my father to pursue all his career goals. Unfortunately, my mother has gone through a hard time for the past 4 years since divorcing my father. Through it all though, she has shown amazing strength and resilience and continues to do so regardless of the tribulations she continues to face. She really deserves something beautiful that symbolizes her strength and the love my brothers and I have for her.

    3) The necklace would have 4 rings: Garnet for my mother (January birthdate), Aquamarine for my younger brother (March birthdate), Emerald for myself (May birthdate), and Pearl or Moonstone for my older brother (June birthdate).

    Thanks:)

    1) I’d love to give this to my Mom.

    2) At 62, my Mom is graduating this spring from a college Fashion Design program – a life long dream fulfilled. Her wardrobe is wicked cool now that she’s a designer, and this would be the perfect compliment!

    3) 5 rings, one for each of her grandchildren -

One September (sapphire), one for January (garnet,) two for the twins in April (diamond,) and one in June (pearl.) The wonderful thing about this is that she’d end up with a red, white and blue necklace, which are the colours of the Dutch flag and the country of our family’s heritage!

    Thanks for the chance!

  93. Jennifer S says:

    1) I’d love to be able to give a Connections necklace to my sister.

  94. Allison Haggart says:

I’d like to have a Connections necklace with my daughters’ birthstones on either side of mine: Peridot + Amethyst + Emerald. I’m heading back to work this fall and with this necklace I’ll feel like my girls are with me all the time!
