Shop news | Updated: Canada Post strike & how it *won’t* affect your order

Updated June 15: Please see this blog post.

Canada Post is experiencing a series of rotating strikes by the Canadian Union of Post Workers.

During this time, we will:

Deliver locally — If you order within the Ottawa, ON-area (Ottawa, Orleans, Barrhaven and Kanata), orders will be delivered twice weekly, which should not affect the time it would normally take to receive your order.

Continue to ship within Canada and to the US with Expedited Parcel — If your order is shipping within Canada or to the US using our $7 Flat-Rate method, we will still use this method, but there may be some delay depending on which Canadian city is affected by the strike.

“Xpresspost” (normally $15 in Canada and $20 to the US and 2-3 business days of ship time), will be shipped by FedEx Ground and may take up to 6 business days to arrive depending on your location.

“Courier shipments” ($35 to Canada/US with 1-2 business days of ship time) are unaffected by the strike.

For international orders — Your order will still ship by Canada Post Air Mail Small Packet, and may experience some delay depending on which Canadian city is affected by the rotating strike.

Got questions? You can contact us for specific information about shipping to your location.
